Photographs of various activities in Japan and France
Photographs, it is said, explain better then words. We feel this true in these examples.  Attached are photographs depicting various aspects of Guy's life in Japan and in France.
At Carrefour, in Makuhari Messe, with the 2cv in the store for the booksigning party of the Japanese version of Ainu Mosir
An Ainu ceremony with most of the area's elders, in Nibutani (Hokkaido) prior to the yearly Chipusanke Festival.
With a friend in Kerama Retto (west of Okinawa) with a Klepper folding kayak.
Amazing how un-Asian the typical Ainu looks. This photo could have been taken in Uzbekistan, or Greece, and yet this man is a full-blooded Ainu whose roots are in Hokkaido, Japan.
La Bergeronette
Guy's country house in the Dordogne with his 1964 2cv. He usually spends his spring breaks and a few weeks in the summer there, usually relaxing and looking for new wines and restaurants to discover.
Candid photo of Guy taken after one of his classes.
Winter in the Dordogne
BMW F650 Funduro
"La Bergeronette" (the house's name) in winter. The big fireplace in the living room adds warmth and an ancient mood to the 19th century dwelling.
The motorcycle I use at present for touring, to replace "Traveller" (see Motorcycle Vagabonding in Japan"). This is a BMW F650/Funduro.
